Congrats to the club over there getting the track up and running! It looks fast and smooth. I cant wait to get there!
It sounds like you guys had a great opening day. Thank you for keeping the website updated so the few of us that are really far away can see all you are doing.... its an inspiration for sure to us over here. Keep up the good work!

Yeah yeah... I fully agree with you. The Frysian guys made excellent work with their new track. Amazing high corner speeds are possible and very low tire wear, even on this new layer of asphalt. They told me they used the type of asphalt (~tarmac) which is also used for karting tracks. 100 points success. I am sure the Frysian guys can give advise about their do's and don'ts.
I honestly hope that soon our own track (mbc Lobith) will have a new layer of black as well. First we have to build an expensive noise killing wall as one guy in the neighbourhood complained...

Its really tough when people complain about the noise. I hope you guys can figure that out.
Hidde De jong posted in a different place in this forum, I will try and move it to this board if I can.
Those guys did a top notch job of building that place. It should be a blast to race! I hope a few of them will pipe in here and say hello.

Hello Pete,
As you can see on our site the opening was really smashing, there are still a lot of things to do. Details only but even that is a lot of work. The local telly and the radio were even there! See you soon

I am looking forward to getting there to see it all. Im sure you will take care of the details just as well as you did with the rest of it.... great job!!
I have a couple of questions before I come over:
Does the club use an AMB lap counting system? If so can I use a personal transponder?
Do you need any info from me for an entry??
Also Hidde Ive sent you 3 emails in the last 2 weeks and they have all come back as a bad address.... are you having a problem with email at all?? Let me know, or send me a test email if you could. Thanks!!

I just sent you another email, lets see if it works.
I will bring the flag with me no problem there.
Ok on the transponder system, no personals. Will have to make a hole. Where is the best place to mount it on the car?? In the wing?? or will it pick it up ok in the shell??

When you drill a hole in the shell, 6 mm, it will work just fine Pete. I will check my mail this evening. As the entry concerns, just give me your startno. , freq. spare freq. and roof-grade. Greetings, Hidde

My race number is #290 and I use a spektrum module, so 2.4 gig. No conflicts from me, I can run with anyone. I am a red roof. I am not officially graded, but a few people decided to grade me according to my ability, and that is what I ended up with.
Thanks again.

I really want to thank the Team Fryslan club for putting on a great event. It was a huge trek for me to get there, and I was treated like I belonged to the club..... thanks Hidde and all the guys for one awesome Worlds!!!!!
If anyone has not raced at the Fryslan track, you need to go.... its smooth as glass, has wide lanes for racing room, and very consistent. I will have setups for all the Team Rocket guys up on the site soon.
